In a preseason 2027 NFL mock draft from ESPN's Jordan Reid, the Jacksonville Jaguars bolster the defensive tackle position.

In this mock, the Jaguars hold the 17th pick in the first round, with Reid pairing Oregon defensive tackle A'Mauri Washington with Jacksonville.

Washington is listed at 6-3, 330 pounds, and he took on a much larger role last season with the Ducks' defense. With those opportunities, he recorded 22 pressures, two sacks, and was one of PFF's highest-graded run defenders.

"The 6-foot-3, 330-pound Washington would have been a top-40 prospect in the 2026 class had he declared," wrote Reid. "He is a massive interior defender who has shown flashes of being a true disruptor at the first level. Washington does need to show a bit more

consistency anchoring against the run, as he tends to lose ground against double-teams."

The Jaguars used a top 100 pick on defensive tackle Albert Regis in the 2026 NFL draft, but more changes could be coming to this position group next offseason.

As of now,Arik Armstead, DaVon Hamilton, and Matt Dickerson -- the top three players on the Jaguars' current defensive tackle depth chart -- are all set to be free agents.
