The Jacksonville Jaguars announced three practice squad additions on Tuesday.
The team has signed offensive lineman Eli Cox, safety Kaevon Merriweather, and tight end Hayden Rucci.
To make room on the practice squad, the Jaguars released offensive lineman Jimto Obidegwu, who signed with the team as a UDFA following the 2026 NFL draft.
Cox went undrafted in 2025 and spent last season on the Houston practice squad. He was a very experienced collegiate player, making 47 starts.
Merriweather has NFL experience, appearing in 43 games since entering the NFL in 2023 as a UDFA. Most of his snaps have come on special teams.
Lastly, Rucci entered the NFL in 2024 as a UDFA. He played in four games last season with Miami, playing 39 total snaps on offense and
42 on teams.
The Jaguars practice squad is now at max capacity.
