Week 7 of the 2026 NFL season continues on Sunday, but the Jacksonville Jaguars will not be playing. Instead, the Jaguars are on their bye week.
The Jaguars enter their bye at 4-2 on the season. Although Jacksonville lost last Sunday to the Houston Texans on a last-second field goal, the Jaguars are still positioned well at the top of the AFC South race with a two-game lead over 2-4 Houston and 2-4 Indianapolis.
On both sides of the ball this season, the Jaguars have been effective. The offense ranks eighth in points per game, creating big plays through the air while remaining productive on the ground.
The defense, meanwhile, continues to be quite stingy, ranking first in points per game behind a stout run defense and takeaways in the secondary.
That said, as is the case with every team, there are areas of improvement needed as well. More consistency from the offensive line and more sacks from the defensive front are ways in which the Jaguars can take a step forward during the second half of the season.
When the Jaguars return from the bye week, they will host the Indianapolis Colts in Jacksonville.
