The Jacksonville Jaguars have made another trade.
This time, however, instead of acquiring a player, the Jaguars are trading one away, sending tight end Hunter Long to the Arizona Cardinals, according to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.
What the Jaguars are getting in return from Arizona has not yet been reported.

Why did the Jaguars trade Hunter Long?
It became clear early on in training camp that Long could be on the outside looking in when it came to the final roster. Rookies Nate Boerkircher and Tanner Koziol quickly took the No. 2 and 3 spots on the tight end depth chart.
Long, who provides a pass-catching presence, possesses a similar
skill set as Koziol, making it unlikely that the Jaguars were going to roster both players.
This preseason, Long caught three passes for 48 yards with a touchdown.
The Jaguars signed Long in free agency during the 2025 offseason. He appeared in nine games offensively last year, with his role shrinking as the season went on.
