The Jacksonville Jaguarsannounced several roster moves on Tuesday, which include safety Caleb Ransaw being placed on injured reserve and cornerback Christian Braswell being waived/injured.
Ransaw exited the Jaguars' Week 4 matchup against the Bengals with a knee injury. Ransaw had filled the third-safety role in Anthony Campanile's defense -- a position that sees its share of playing time.
This season, Ransaw had played 59 defensive snaps, totaling one quarterback pressure and eight tackles. He also filled a special-teams-heavy role, playing 51 snaps across five different phases.
Ransaw, a third-round pick by the Jaguars in 2025, missed his rookie season due to injury. In his absence, Rayuan Lane will take over that third safety spot behind Eric
Murray and Antonio Johnson.
Braswell had been dealing with a knee injury and did not play in last Sunday's game. He was a primary special teams contributor for Jacksonville.
To fill these two roster spots, the Jaguars signed cornerbacks Alijah Huzzie and Jaylon Jones.
