After a heavy defensive workload for Travis Hunter in Week 1 for the Jacksonville Jaguars, what did his playing time in Week 2 look like?
Well, it was about the same.
This week, Hunter played seven offensive snaps, according to PFF's early tracking data, which was a few more than last week. However, he was not targeted in the passing game.
Defensively, Hunter spent most of this time -- as expected -- and he saw an uptick in snaps, playing 37 at cornerback in this contest.
Hunter was largely untested in this game. On just one target, he forced a pass breakup. He was also in on two tackles during the game.
However, during Denver's final scoring drive, Hunter was flagged for a 22-yard pass interference penalty when defending Courtland Sutton. The Broncos
offense then had the ball at the three-yard line and scored on the next play to take the lead.
Liam Coen remains open to Hunter seeing more snaps on offense, but at least for the time being, it looks like defense will be where most of his playing time comes from -- which again, is not unexpected.
The matchups and in-game situations on a week-to-week basis could dictate what his playing time at wide receiver looks like.
