Austin Trammell's tenure with the Jaguars
Trammell was signed by the Jaguars as a free agent in June of 2024. He has spent the majority of his time on the team's practice squad. He originally made the 53-man roster last season, but was released to make room for Tim Patrick, who the team acquired via trade.
Recapping Austin Trammell's 2025 season
Trammell appeared in six games on offense last season and did spend some time on the 53-man roster. He caught 3-of-9 passes for 46 yards. He also handled two kick return attempts and one punt return attempt.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Austin Trammell
The additions of CJ Williams and Josh Cameron made Trammell's path to the 53-man roster much less
clear, particularly with both rookies performing well during offseason programs.
Those two rookies, along with Brian Thomas Jr., Jakobi Meyers, and Parker Washington, account for five roster spots, while Travis Hunter will be in the mix as well. That group of six players could very well make up this unit.
If Trammell is going to stand out and make a strong push, special teams contributions will be important since that is where the bulk of his playing time would come.
