Ransaw has filled a special-teams-heavy role through the first three games of the season, playing 49 snaps across five of the six different phases.
Defensively, he's played 59 snaps this season as the Jaguars' third safety -- a role that sees plenty of playing time in Anthony Campanile's defense.
Eric Murray and Antonio Johnson will continue to start at safety, but without Ransaw, Rayuan Lane could fill that third safety role.
We will update this article as new reports come in.
