If the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to be active at the NFL trade deadline, what kind of 2027 NFL draft capital does GM James Gladstone have to work with?
In Gladstone's nearly two years as the Jaguars' GM, he has prioritized stockpiling draft capital. Jacksonville made nine draft picks in 2025 and 10 selections this past April.
Next year is shaping up to be another draft where the Jaguars could make ample selections.
According to Spotrac, with projected compensatory draft picks included, the Jaguars currently have nine selections in 2027.
Jaguars projected 2027 NFL draft picks
- Round 1
- Round 2
- Round 3
- Round 4
- Round 5
- Round 5 (compensatory pick)
- Round 6 (compensatory pick)
- Round 6 (compensatory pick)
- Round 7
Of note, since compensatory picks aren't official at this time of year and are only projections, those picks cannot be traded. That said, knowing they will be available gives Gladstone the flexibility to trade other
picks if needed.
So when it comes to making a potential deal ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline, Gladstone does have a good amount of capital to work with. That said, if the hope is that the Jaguars are going to make a splash, their tight salary cap situation could be a hurdle to work around.
If an addition is going to be made, the defensive line may be a position of interest.
During Gladstone's tenure as GM, he has shown that he is more than willing to make a deal. At last year's trade deadline, the Jaguars acquired WR Jakobi Meyers.
