Believe it or not, the NFL season is already about one quarter over! Yes, time flies, doesn't it? So the place is here and the time is right to publish our latest 2027 NFL mock draft. We cover the entire first round, with the current order as listed on Tankathon.
Click the player's name, where highlighted, for a link to a feature on that specific prospect.
1. Houston, Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State
Best overall prospect, regardless of position, in this class. The OSU = Wide Receiver U tradition continues. The best player in college football, by a country mile, Smith is the most elite WR prospect that we have seen in a very long time.
2. Tennessee, Colin Simmons, EDGE, Texas
Titans could clearly use a new edge, who also happens to be best defensive
player available in this class.
3. Tampa Bay, Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame
Michigan State Coach Pat Fitzgerland said this guy should be the #1 overall pick in the draft for a reason.
4. L.A. Chargers, Jordan Seaton, OT, LSU
While the Chargers have a lot of talent on the offesive line, especially at tackle, the injuries have really piled up.
5. Miami, Arch Manning, QB, Texas
He is starting to live up to the hype now. We're beginning to see Manning become the guy that everyone said he would become.
6. N.Y. Jets, Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
This is a classic case of someone who benefited greatly from getting to play in the NIL era. He still gets paid handsomely while staying in school, and at the same time, keeps grow and developing. In addition to his elite level on-the-field traits, Moore seems to also have great character off of it.
His work in raising awareness for mental health issues, and his remarks about what he learned during his trip to Japan convey the high level of leadership skills that he possesses.
7. Washington, Charlie Becker, WR, Indiana
Maybe the next blue chip prospect that the great Curt Cignetti will coach into a high first round talent?
8. Arizona, CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame
This Carr is a high-octane, high performance machine.
9. New Orleans, KJ Bolden, S, Georgia
This seems like a perfect fit all around- fills team need and gets picked within the range that he's slotted.
10. Atlanta, Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
A blue-chip prospect that shouldn't fall this far, but it is just the way it shaped
11. Cincinnati, Will Echoles, DT, Ole Miss
He may not fall this far down the board, but if he does, you can't pass him up.
12. Pittsburgh, Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Mississippi
One of the teams that is most likely to draft a QB this April, and for very obvious reasons. Scouts love Chambliss' accuracy, especially on the deep ball, as well as his strong arm, and ability to thrive under pressure.
13. NY Jets via the Indianapolis, Tae Johnson, S, Notre Dame
Gang green didn't record an interception last season, so they need to focus on finding a playmaker in the secondary.
14. NY Jets via Dallas, Justin Scott, DL, Miami
Jets have so many needs...good thing they have three first rounders in 2027.
15. Dallas via Green Bay, Cam Coleman, WR, Texas
A blue chip prospect that shouldn't fall this far.
16. Detroit, Zabien Brown, CB, Alabama
The #OnePride really needs to improve pass defense.
17. Philadelphia, Samson Okunlola, OL, Miami
A needs and value based pick that works here.
18. Denver, David Stone, DT, Oklahoma
This is a popular mock draft pick for a reason.
19. Carolina, Ryan Coleman-Williams, WR, Alabama
Coleman-Williams is a top 15 overall prospect , who we previously profiled at this link.
20. New England, Matayo Uiagaleilei, EDGE, Oregon
Northwestern coach David Braun on going up against Oregon's edge rushers:
“Both edges are extremely talented. With those guys, you can’t pay attention to the stat line. Just turn on the film."
21. Cleveland via L.A Rams, Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio State
Doesn't Cleveland always a draft a quarterback? Every year? #JustSayin
22. Cleveland, Kenyatta Jackson, EDGE, Ohio State
Yes, back-to-back OSU going to Cleveland, keeping it local. Brownies have a void here after letting Myles Garrett move on.
23. Las Vegas, Omarion Miller, WR, Arizona State
Pair Mendoza with a top flight wide out, just like you would pair a nice cabernet with a good steak.
24. Seattle, Yhonzae Pierre, EDGE, Alabama
A major disruptive force, who announces his presence, with authority, in opposing backfields.
25. Jacksonville, Jadan Baugh, RB, Florida
Eveyrone else is doing this pick, in their mock draft, so why can't we? It makes perfect sense on multiple fronts, including the local connection.
26. Buffalo, Zach Lutmer, DB, Iowa
Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz has not exactly compared Lutmer to Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl DB and former Hawkeye Cooper DeJean, but he has pointed out their similarities.
"Cooper gave me a lot of knowledge my freshman year and helped me out in a lot of different ways," Lutmer said at Media Day. "But at the same time, we're different players. Like we have a lot of different qualities and stuff like that."
27. NY Giants, Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia
Big blue definitely needs some help in pass defense.
28. Chicago, Kelley Jones, CB, Mississippi St.
The Bears are playing so well that is actually taking people's minds of the stadium building fiasco. And it appears that Pat Ryan, the retired AON Corporation Founder/CEO is now working with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to make sure the Monsters of the Midway stay in Illinois.
On the field, the Bears' top positional need may be at corner.
29. Baltimore, Kewan Lacy, RB, Ole Miss
King Henry is King Henry, but he's aging. He also isn't contracted long-term.
30. Minnesota, Kade Pieper, IOL, Iowa
A blue-chip prospect, if interior offensive line play is your thing.
31. Kansas City, Jeremiah Johnson, TE, Oregon
Could Oregon produce the first tight end off the board in back to back seasons? Kenyon Sadiq was the first TE selected this past April and Johnson discussed what he learned from his predecessor.
"Just his drive for the game," Johnson said exclusively to The Sports Bank. "He just wants to get better at in every aspect of the game.
"That's from on the field to knowing the playbook to off the field to getting his body right to play the next play."
32. San Francisco, K.J. Duff, WR, Rutgers
Philly needs to find an A.J. Brown replacement. Huff had a big 2025, which included a viral one-handed grab against PSU and a 240+ yard performance against Purdue. In an exclusive with The Sports Bank, Duff discussed the NFL stars he models his game after:
"If I turn on the NFL film, I like to watch Mike Evans. One of the most consistent receivers ever, and Drake London as well. I think the body frame, body type. I enjoy watching him."
