We are heading into the end of the first month of the college football season so it's time to update our positional rankings for the 2027 NFL Draft. First up are quarterbacks where we see some huge changes after the Top Two.
Quarterbacks
1 - Arch Manning - Texas
Manning continues to get better and better with his mental game coming along quickly to line up with his elite arm talent.
2 - Dante Moore - Oregon
Dynamic and explosive, Moore's ceiling is the highest of any quarterback in this draft but we still want to see more consistency in his decision-making and throws.
3 - CJ Carr - Notre Dame
Carr's our sleeper to climb high into the Top 10. Carr can make all the throws, shows solid athleticism and plays with a high football IQ.
4 - Trinidad Chambliss - Ole Miss
Chambliss has all the tools but his lack of height will scare teams. His huge win over LSU really
showcased his game.
5 - Darian Manesh - Miami
Manesh doesn't have any elite traits but he also shows no real weaknesses. He has adapted quickly to his new team and is very coachable.
6 - Jayden Maiava - USC
Maiava looks like an NFL quarterback physically but he seems to be capped as he's not showing the development we hoped to see when he returned to school.
7 - Julian Sayin - Ohio State
We don't expect Sayin to declare as he chases a national title with the best tandem of wide receivers in the country but if he does, we see him as more of a project player despite his physical tools.
8 - Drew Mastemaker - Oklahoma State
We are holding back a little on Mastemaker but he definitely has the potential to move up ahead of some of these other quarterbacks if he keeps performing at a high level.
9 - LaNorris Sellers - South Carolina
Sellars came into last season as one of the top quarterbacks in the country and ever since he has struggled. At this point, Sellers is a day three option who will need time to develop in the NFL.
10 - Sam Leavitt - LSU
There's no denying Leavitt's fit with the LSU offense but we don't see any real NFL traits to warrant a ranking any higher. He's a very good college quarterback but doesn't look like an NFL starter at this point.
11 - Brendan Sorsby - NA
Sorsby's journey has been a wild one and even with his physical tools, his red flags push him way down in these rankings.
12 - Nico Iameleava - UCLA
Iameleava has never lived up to his physical potential and we struggle to evaluate a guy who doesn't look like he's playing hard on a consistent basis despite his raw talent.
