Dante Moore can ball out, there is no doubt about that. However, we have not seen that, through the first two games this year. We still have 10 games left to go (plus the postseason), but through the first two, Moore is absolutely all over the place.
As we enter week three, the Oregon Ducks have been the most surprisingly disappointing team, with their starting quarterback, Moore, the most unexpectedly underperforming player.
The Detroit native is a very smart, heady, analytical player. He also really put in the work this offseason,to try and get better.
So what's going wrong? Well, you can start with the fact that he has, what they would call in poker, "a tell."
Yes, he's unintentionally tipping his pitches.

It is astounding how Oregon, a program with as much money as any in college football (and thus, a very large staff of highly compensated coaches, staffer and other personnel), didn't see this coming.
Head coach Dan Lanning and his subordinates didn't notice this in practice? Well, maybe this is an easy fix, and then Moore will be back to his former self.
Because right now, there are major Jake Locker vibes- a college QB that could have declared for the draft when his stock was high, but came back to school for another year, and then saw his draft stock plummet.
It's a cautionary tale, to say the least.
