The second FedExCup Fall event takes place this week with the 2026 Bank of Utah Championship at Black Desert Resort in Irvins, Utah. Jackson Koivun, who starred for the U.S. in the Presidents Cup, headlines the field, along with Ben James and defending champion Michael Brennan. Below, we search for the best value prop bets for the Bank of Utah Championship
and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions before the first round begins Thursday. In addition to Koivun (+1100), James (+1600) and Brennan (+1600), International Presidents Cup player Nick Taylor (+5500) and 2024 champion Matt McCarty (+4500) are also in the field. Maverick McNealy (+2000) and Doug Ghim (+2500) are among the notables teeing it up, as well. This is only the third time this
tournament has been played, so it's relatively new to most players.
Black Desert Resort opened in 2023. It features spectacular views of the desert and nearby cliffs, with the course being carved through ancient black lava fields in Utah. It's 7,421 yards long and plays as a par 71, featuring wide fairways, but desert terrain lurking not far from the short grass. Brennan won at 22-under par last year and McCarty's winning score was 23-under in 2024.

Ben James (+350)
James has put himself in contention several times late in the year, only to falter on the weekend. He stayed near the top of the leaderboard in his last start in Asheville, North Carolina, (second place) and should play well at Black Desert Resort this week, where his ball striking will be a big advantage.
Michael Brennan (+350)
Brennan is the defending champion and someone who played really well toward the end of the 2026 season with a win at the Wyndham and a T-10 at the BMW Championship during the playoffs. He's a terrific driver, which will be a strength this week in Utah.
Bank of Utah Championship: Best outright winners
Bank of Utah Championship – Top-10 picks
Matt Wallace (+250)
Wallace finished in the top 20 in 4 straight starts on the DP World Tour coming into this week, so he's been as hot as anyone in the field. He missed the cut in his tournament debut here last year, but is riding some momentum this time around.
Matt McCarty (+375)
McCarty followed up his win here in 2024 by finishing tied for third, putting himself in the mix for the second straight year. He's made the cut in 4 straight starts, but is looking for his first top-20 finish since a T-10 back in May.
Bank of Utah Championship – Top-20 picks
Max Homa (+175)
Homa last played in the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind, where he finished T-24 and played relatively well. He's ranked in the top-40 among players in the field in all strokes gained categories in the last 3 months, so he doesn't have any real weaknesses at the moment.
Kevin Roy (+225)
Roy made the cut here in his debut last year and comes into the week ranked ninth in SG: tee-to-green. He's finished 31st or better in 4 straight starts, which puts him on a good path heading to Utah.
Bank of Utah Championship – Matchups
Suggested play is golfer in bold.
Matt Wallace (+100) vs. Doug Ghim (-125)
Wallace has been playing more on the DP World Tour than the PGA Tour lately, but he's been red hot overseas. Ghim has been in great form, too, but Wallace ranks second in SG: tee-to-green over the last 3 months, so we'll lean on the better ball striker.
Harry Hall (-125) vs. Rico Hoey (+100)
Hall finished third at the Omega European Masters on the DP World Tour recently and also played well at the Wyndham Championship in one of his last starts on the PGA Tour this season.
Bank of Utah Championship – Top Canadian
Nick Taylor (+250)
Taylor finished third on the International team with 2.5 points in the Presidents Cup last week, going 2-1-1 in his 4 matches. He's in the best form of any Canadian player right now.
Bank of Utah Championship – First-round leader
Jackson Suber (+3500)
Suber ranks fourth on the PGA Tour in Round 1 scoring average this season (68.74) and was just 1 shot off the lead after the first round here last year when he shot 66 Thursday afternoon.
