The Panthers lead the all-time series 4-3, though the Browns have won 2 straight and 3 of the previous 4 in the series. Cleveland won 26-24 on Sept. 11, 2022 in the teams' most recent meeting in Charlotte and posted a 26-20 victory in the most recent battle in Cleveland on Dec. 9, 2018.
Carolina lost 59-37 in a wild Week 1 home loss against Chicago as 3.5-point underdogs as the Over (47.5) cashed. The Panthers then topped Atlanta 34-3 as a 2.5-point
favorite with the Under (43.5) cashing last week. QB Bryce Young is off to a good start, totaling 6 TD passes and 1 TD run.
Cleveland was embarrassed 34-10 in a Week 1 trip to Jacksonville. In Week 2 at Tampa Bay, against old friend QB Baker Mayfield, the Browns surprised the Buccaneers 23-19 as an 8.5-point underdog as the Over (41.5) just came through. Rookie WR Denzel Boston scored on a 55-yard hookup with QB Deshaun Watson, their second TD in as many games. Watson completed 24 of 30 passes for 238 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs.

The Panthers (-140) are only worth playing if you're super conservative and you feel Carolina can win, but only by 1 or 2 points. If so, you don't really have a strong conviction and probably shouldn't be betting on the Panthers, anyway. Lay the little bit of points rather than paying up for very little insurance.

Against the spread
Back PANTHERS -2.5 (-108) on the road for a number of reasons.
First off, Carolina has a strong pass game (although Coker carrying a questionable tag is a bit of a concern). However, what's equally concerning -- if not more concerning -- is that Cleveland has Campbell and Delpit on the injury report. They'll need all hands on deck from the secondary, which is already a little light.
Second, Cleveland has had a lot of trouble running the football this season. RB Quinshon Jenkins suffered a dislocated ankle and fractured fibula late last season. He has made it back to the active roster but he has been struggling mightily and showing a lack of burst. Cleveland needs to establish the run to win.
Over/Under
OVER 42 (-110) is worth a look, as Carolina will be looking to pass its way to success. There will be frequent clock stoppages, which Over bettors love. Watson and the Cleveland passing game has been conservative, yet successful with the lack of a running game. The Browns will be passing frequently, too. This is a rather low number for 2 teams that will be more pass-heavy than run-heavy.

Panther QB Bryce Young - OVER 1.5 PASSING TDs (+120) is a strong play at plus-money. He has 3 TD passes in each of his first 2 games, and with Campbell and Delpit nicked up, Carolina will be trying to go over the top frequently.
