The Saints and Ravens enter this matchup after having very different season openers. Head Coach Jesse Minter opened his Ravens tenure with a bang, dismantling the Indianapolis Colts 41-23 after being up 31-13 at halftime. The Ravens' backfield dominated as QB Lamar Jackson finished with 364 total yards and 2 TDs, while RB Derrick Henry rushed for 144 yards and 3 TDs. WR Zay Flowers, who accounted for 150 receiving yards and 1 TD in the first half, injured his hamstring and was
unable to return to the contest for the 2nd half; he is now doubtful for this matchup.
New Orleans suffered a respectable 31-30 OT loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 1 after being down 21-0 late in the 3rd. QB Tyler Shough threw for 410 yards, the most of any QB in Week 1, with 231 of those yards coming in the 4th quarter and OT. His favorite target was WR Chris Olave, who finished the game with 10 receptions for 182 yards. The Saints tied the game at 24 late in the 4th, and answered a Lions overtime TD with one of their own, but they came up short on the game-winning 2-point conversion try in OT.

The Ravens are the better team and will comfortably win this game, even with Flowers likely not suiting up. With that being said, there is no point in backing the Ravens as -425 favorites, as the risk is not worth the reward. Pass here and bet on the spread and/or Over/Under instead.
Against the spread
BET RAVENS -8 (-118).
The Ravens will be able to move the ball at will; the Saints simply will not have an answer for the backfield duo of Jackson and Henry, especially behind a Baltimore offensive line that already looks much improved from last season's unit. The Lions did whatever they wanted to offensively for much of the game against the Saints in Week 1, and I expect more of the same from the Ravens.
On the other side, the Ravens forced 2 turnovers and held the Colts to just 251 yards of offense in Week 1, with an elite RB in Jonathan Taylor and an elite offensive line on the other side. If the Saints can survive Baltimore's pass rush, they could be a threat in the air, but I find any real offensive success unlikely as their run game will likely be non-existent in this matchup.
Over/Under
LEAN OVER 46 (-108).
Simply put, the Ravens will have to put up 30 points for this bet to come to fruition, but that seems like a very realistic goal after how each team looked in the season opener. Look for the Ravens to run this Saints defense into the ground early to create some fatigue and open up the deep pass.
This is a LEAN because the Ravens absolutely have the talent defensively and the right play-caller to potentially dominate the Saints and make it hard for them to do much of anything offensively.

Ravens RB Derrick Henry Over 100 Rushing Yards (+115)
The Saints allowed Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs to run for 156 yards and 2 TDs, even with the Lions missing 2 of their starting offensive linemen for a majority of the game. Henry, on the other hand, just rushed for 144 yards and will probably carry an even heavier load because of injuries in this one. Henry is guaranteed 25 carries in this game, and that will be more than enough for him to amass 100 yards against this lackluster Saints defense.
