The Sacramento Kings and LA Clippers meet Wednesday to open their 2026-27 NBA regular seasons. Tip-off from Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California is set for 10:30 p.m. ET. Let's analyze NBA odds around the Kings vs. Clippers odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.
2025-26 season series: Clippers won 3-1 with a split in L.A.
The Kings (22-60 last season) are expected to be one of the worst teams in the NBA, if not the worst team. That's not a very promising outlook. The good news is that rookie G Darius Acuff Jr. is going to get all of the run he wants, and this is going to be his team before too long. And, he isn't alone, as the Kings have veterans like F Malik Monk (ankle), C Domantas Sabonis and swingman Zach LaVine,
although the Kings could move any one of those players at any point.
The Clippers (42-40 last season) had an absolute mess of an offseason, resulting in F Kawhi Leonard being traded, the owner Steve Ballmer and several executives being suspended, and, as of September 2026, federal prosecutors from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) opened criminal investigations into the team's alleged salary-cap circumvention involving Leonard. Wow.
As far as the product on the floor for LA, it isn't expected to be very good, either. Again, Kawhi is gone, and incoming F Brandon Ingram (heel, Achilles) and F Max Strus (foot) are out for an extended period. Poor coach Tyronn Lue. He takes over an absolute mess, and a coach of his stature deserves better. G Darius Garland is at least a promising player still rising in this league, and if the Clips could get anything out of G Bradley Beal, who has been oft-injured, perhaps LA will compete every once in a while.

Kings at Clippers picks and predictions
Prediction
Kings 111, Clippers 107
Moneyline
The KINGS (+155) are worth a look as moderate underdogs, as both of these teams are not good, and somebody has to win. The better value is Sacramento, with the likes of Acuff, Sabonis, etc. The Clippers don't have that caliber of player, and if they do, they're likely injured.
Against the spread
BACK KINGS +5.5 (-115) if you want a little bit of wiggle room here.
Sacramento is catching a couple of buckets in this game, and it, honestly, could be the favorite. The Kings have a little better of a roster construction than the Kings, and there are so many off-court distractions for the Clippers.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 227.5 (-110) is worth a look, and it honestly might be the best play on the board.
Sacramento's Acuff and Sabonis are the only players who could, potentially, ruin this Under. It's easy to envision Acuff having a huge game in his NBA debut, while Sabonis more than likely goes for a double-double. But, there are no guarantees, either. For the Clippers, though, outside of Garland, it's hard to see who could potentially stuff the stat sheet to threat the total.
Best prop bet
Bet Kings G DARIUS ACUFF JR. 3+ 3-POINTERS (+155).
At plus-money, it's worth a roll of the dice on the former Arkansas Razorbacks standout Acuff Jr. going for at least 3 triples in his NBA debut. He is a tremendous perimeter shooter, and he is basically one of the only reasons to watch the Kings this season.
