The Carolina Panthers (2-2) and the Philadelphia Eagles (2-3) meet Sunday for a Week 6 matchup at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Let's analyze NFL odds around the Panthers vs. Eagles odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
This is the first meeting since Dec. 8, 2024, when the Eagles posted a 22-16 win at home while the Panthers covered as 13.5-point underdogs and the Under (44.5) cashed. Philly has won 3 of the past 4 meetings, but Carolina has covered twice in the span, while going 4-4 against the spread (ATS) in the past 8 in the series. The Under has connected in 3 in a row since Oct. 21, 2018. Carolina's last win in the series was a 21-17 victory
at "The Linc" on Oct. 21, 2018.
Carolina is coming off a bye the Panthers and the Kansas City Chiefs were the first teams in the league to have a bye this season. Prior to the hiatus, the Panthers topped the Detroit Lions 32-26 on Sunday Night Football in Week 4, cashing outright as a 4.5-point underdog as the Over (52.5) cashed. QB Bryce Young threw for 329 yards and 2 TDs, while WR Tetairoa McMillan had a coming out party with 14 grabs for 192 yards and 2 TDs on 16 targets. RB Chuba Hubbard also ran for 122 yards with 2 TDs.
Philadelphia has dropped 3 in a row, including a debilitating 19-17 loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London in Week 5. The Eagles covered as an 8.5-point underdog, but it probably should've won outright. PK Jake Elliott booted a 48-yard, go-ahead field goal with 8 seconds left, giving Philly a 17-16 lead. But head coach Nick Sirianni admitted he made a mistake, kicking to the Jaguars, rather than a touchback. The Jags returned the ensuing kickoff into Philly territory, setting up a 57-yard field goal by Cam Little to win it.

Panthers at Eagles picks and predictions
Prediction
Panthers 23, Eagles 17
Moneyline
If you're a bit on the conservative side, PANTHERS (-175) isn't priced out of line, especially as part of a multi-leg parlay, as long as the line stays below -180 (or you use it with a boost or promo).
The Eagles will be without Hurts and Barkley and, pun intended, that hurts. QB Tanner McKee will start under center, while Shipley is also sidelined, and RB Tank Bigsby was placed in the reserve/injured list weeks ago due to a core muscle injury. Therefore, former Texans RB Dameon Pierce is expected to lead the backfield, with former Chiefs RB Carson Steele as the backup.
On the flip side, Carolina is back from a bye, so it has had 2 full weeks to rest up and recover. That's a bad opponent for the Eagles to face.
Against the spread
Play PANTHERS -3 (-118), and hopefully it stays at a flat 3 (or even better dips to -2.5).
The Panthers looked really good against the Lions on Sunday Night Football two weeks ago prior to the bye. Meanwhile, not only are the Eagles banged up, but they just traveled back from Europe, too, so that weighs on the healthy players.
Over/Under
OVER 39 (-110) is still the lean, as a total in the 30's is an awfully low number.
The weather won't be a problem this weekend, as temperatures will be around 60 with sunny skies. The Panthers showed they can move the ball well when all important offensive skill position players are healthy.
While the Eagles have some subs at key spots, McKee has shown glimpses of brilliance, and Pierce has plenty of NFL experience from his days in Houston.
Best prop to play
PANTHERS QB BRYCE YOUNG - UNDER 237.5 PASSING YARDS (-115)
The Under is worth playing on Young's passing yardage total. He can be very capable, but the Carolina passer will have Hubbard in the backfield trying to work over the Philadelphia defense. The Eagles have allowed 1,242 passing yards through 5 games, and just 6 passing TDs with 15 plays of 20+ yards through the air. The Panthers should have more success on the ground.
