The PGA Tour will remain in Mexico this week for the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship at El Cardonal at Diamante, a course designed by Tiger Woods. Below, we look at World Wide Technology Championship odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions before the first round of this FedExCup Fall event begins Thursday morning in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Several big names are in the field this week, led by tournament co-favorites Ben Griffin (+1400) and Ryan Gerard (+1400). They're followed closely by Ben James (+1800) and Jackson Koivun (+1800) on the odds board, as the 2 young stars try to continue their impressive rookie seasons. Griffin is the defending champion, while Austin Eckroat (+6000) and Erik van Rooyen (+8000) were the 2 winners
before Griffin.
It's only the fourth time El Cardonal has hosted a PGA Tour event after opening in 2014. It features views of the Pacific Ocean, with natural desert and dune areas surrounding the course. It plays at 7,452 yards as a par 72. Griffin set the 72-hole scoring record at 29-under 259 last year.

Chris Kirk (+3300)
Kirk missed the cut in 2023, which was the only time he's played this course, but it's his current form that makes him a good bet. In 3 fall events this season, he's finished 10th, 21st and sixth. In his last 20 rounds, he ranks fifth among players in the field in SG: tee-to-green.
Ryan Gerard (+1400)
Gerard has been atrocious on the greens lately, ranking 96th out of 112 qualified players in the field in SG: putting over his last 20 rounds. Where he's excelled, though, is with his ball striking. He's gained the most strokes of any player from tee to green over the last 20 rounds.
Ben James (+1800)
Who's second in SG: tee-to-green over that same span? James. And he's been much better than Gerard on the greens, ranking 28th in SG: putting in his last 20 rounds. Outside of a missed cut in windy Bermuda, James has been great this fall, finishing second, fifth and 16th in his 3 other starts.
World Wide Technology Championship picks – Contenders
Neal Shipley (+4500)
Shipley has come to life in the fall, making all 4 cuts and finishing 34th or better each time, with 2 top-10s, as well. He's only played here once, missing the cut in 2024, but his recent form is encouraging for a mid-tier pick like this.
Luke Clanton (+6600)
Clanton made his tournament debut here last year and tied for 46th. His game is in good form, ranking 27th in SG: tee-to-green and 18th in putting in his last 20 rounds compared to other players in the field. Since his missed cut in Asheville, North Carolina, earlier this fall, he's finished seventh, 11th and 29th in his last 3 starts.
World Wide Technology Championship picks – Long shots
Alvaro Ortiz (+10000)
Ortiz is from Mexico and is coming off a T-34 in last week's VidantaWorld Mexico Open. Before that, he was lighting it up on the Korn Ferry Tour, winning the Simmons Bank Open For The Snedeker Foundation in September before finishing in the top 25 in each of his next 3 starts.
Garrick Higgo (+8000)
Higgo's form isn't promising at the moment, missing 3 straight cuts before tying for 29th last week, but he's finished sixth and fourth in his 2 career starts at this event the last 2 years.
