The Washington Huskies (3-3, 0-3 Big Ten) and the Purdue Boilermakers (3-3, 2-1) meet Friday in Big Ten action at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (FOX). Let's analyze college football odds around the Washington vs. Purdue odds and make our expert college football picks and predictions for the best bets.
Washington's hot start has quickly cooled off. After opening 3-0 in nonconference play, the Huskies have dropped 3 straight Big Ten games, including last Friday's 41-24 loss to the then-No. 20, now-No. 18 Iowa Hawkeyes. Washington failed to cover as a 2.5-point home favorite, while the Over (41.5) cashed. The Huskies finished with minus-3 rushing yards, while allowing 465 total yards. QB Elijah Brown
provided a bright spot, throwing for 251 yards and 3 touchdowns despite the loss.
Purdue picked up its second consecutive Big Ten victory, upsetting the Minnesota Golden Gophers 41-13 at Ross-Ade last Saturday. The Boilermakers were 2.5-point underdogs, while the Over (48.5) cashed. RB Fame Ijeboi stole the show, rushing for a career-high 195 yards with 3 touchdowns. QB Ryan Browne also delivered, throwing for 159 yards with a TD and running for 81 yards and a score on 7 carries in the convincing win.
Washington leads the all-time series against Purdue 8-2-1, including a convincing 49-13 victory in their most recent meeting Nov. 15, 2025. The Huskies easily covered as 14.5-point home favorites, while the teams combined to clear the 50.5-point total.

Washington at Purdue picks and predictions
Prediction
Purdue 34, Washington 24
Moneyline
PASS.
While I have Purdue (-165) winning, I don't love paying all that juice. I'll take my bet to the spread.
Against the spread
BET PURDUE -3.5 (-110).
Purdue is playing its best football in some time, while Washington is heading in a much different direction. The Huskies opened 3-0 but have dropped 3 Big Ten games in a row, while the Boilermakers have found their footing with consecutive conference victories.
Purdue ranks 10th nationally in adjusted EPA per play, according to gamesonpaper.com, and has a balanced offense led by Browne and Ijeboi. That combination should create problems for a Washington defense that has struggled against Big Ten competition, particularly against the run -- UW allows 136.7 yards per game (YPG), ranking 12th in the conference.
The Huskies also have concerns at quarterback with Demond Williams Jr.'s status uncertain. The QB is listed day to day with a rib injury. Their lack of a consistent running game puts even more pressure on the passing attack. The Huskies rank last in the Big Ten at 90.3 rushing YPG.
Purdue's early close losses to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (38-36 in 2OT, Sept. 12) and at the UCLA Bruins (trailed by 7 in fourth quarter of 52-38 loss Sept. 19) look more respectable now, and the Boilermakers have momentum on their side. With a favorable matchup and home-field advantage, PURDUE COVERING the 3.5-POINT SPREAD is my favorite play Friday night.
Over/Under
BET OVER 50.5 (-110).
Purdue's offense is clicking, while Washington has put up at least 21 points in each of their last 3 games despite losing those games. The Boilermakers allow 243 passing YPG -- second worst in the Big Ten -- and struggle to pressure opposing quarterbacks.
With Purdue finding its offensive rhythm and Washington facing a vulnerable secondary, both teams should have opportunities to put points on the board.
