The PGA Tour is in Mexico for another week, as the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship takes place at Tiger Woods' El Cardonal at Diamante. The Woods-designed course is located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and will host this event for the fourth time. Below, we search for the best value prop bets for the World Wide Technology Championship
and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions before the first round begins Thursday morning.Defending champion Ben Griffin is the tournament co-favorite with Ryan Gerard at +1400. Ben James has the third-best odds at +1600, followed by Jackson Koivun (+1800), Blades Brown (+3000) and Harry Hall (+3000). It's a solid field for a FedExCup Fall event, which should make for an exciting leaderboard come Sunday.
The winner will receive 500 FedExCup points.
El Cardonal at Diamante (par 72) is 7,452 yards long and features natural desert and dune landscapes surrounding fairways and rough. It has drastic elevation changes, but the scores are often low at this course; Griffin won at 29-under last year, with Austin Eckroat winning at 24-under in 2024 and Erik van Rooyen shooting 27-under in his 2023 win.

World Wide Technology Championship – Top-5 picks
Odds provided by BetMGM Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 11:29 a.m. ET.
Ben James (+350)
James already has 2 top-5 finishes in 4 starts this fall, plus another T-16 last week in Mexico. He often puts himself in contention, but has struggled to get across the finish line, which makes him a perfect top-5 bet.
Ryan Gerard (+300)
Gerard has the wedge game and approach play to compete at El Cardonal, ranking first in SG: tee-to-green over the last 20 rounds. He just needs to find something on the greens, where he's had a lot of trouble lately.
World Wide Technology Championship – Top-10 picks
Chris Kirk (+333)
Kirk has only played here once and missed the cut back in 2023, but he's finished 21st or better in 3 starts this fall, including a sixth-place finish a few weeks ago in Bermuda.
Neal Shipley (+350)
Shipley has 2 top-10s in 4 starts this fall, making the cut each week he's played. After a disappointing 2026 season, he's looking to keep his solid play going as the fall schedule continues.
World Wide Technology Championship – Top-20 picks
Luke Clanton (+250)
Clanton hasn't finished worse than T-29 in his last 3 starts, notching 2 top-11 showings in that span. He tied for seventh at the Bank of Utah Championship, which was his best performance of the fall.
World Wide Technology Championship: Best outright winners
Alvaro Ortiz (+350)
Ortiz has a win and 3 top-25 finishes in his last 4 Korn Ferry Tour starts, and just tied for 34th at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open last week. He's from Mexico and is trending in the right direction, which puts him on track to play well at El Cardonal.
Jackson Koivun (-118)
Koivun is one of the most talented players in the field, which is why his top-20 odds of -118 are almost too good to pass up in a field like this one. He's finished fifth and 65th in 2 fall starts this season, but is capable of playing much better.
World Wide Technology Championship – Matchups
Suggested play is golfer in bold.
Michael Kim (+100) vs. Jordan Smith (-125)
Kim didn't play here last year, but in the 2 seasons prior he finished 23rd and 30th. This will be Smith's debut, putting him at a slight disadvantage. Kim has been playing really well lately, too, finishing T-24 and T-17 in 2 fall starts on the PGA Tour, and T-7 in 1 DP World Tour start.
Chris Kirk (-125) vs. Johnny Keefer (+100)
Kirk is playing extremely well right now and Keefer is coming off a missed cut at the Mexico Open last week. Kirk's odds are much shorter, but he should be a strong contender Sunday.
World Wide Technology Championship – Top South African
Garrick Higgo (+280)
Higgo finished T-6 in 2024 and T-4 in 2025, his only 2 starts at this tournament. Christiaan Bezuidenhout is the favorite in this market at -110, but Higgo's course history makes him a good bet.
World Wide Technology Championship – Top Brit and Irish
Harry Hall (+250)
Hall finished T-14 at this event in 2024 after missing the cut in his debut the year prior. He's finished T-13 and T-23 in his last 2 starts this fall, making him a deserving favorite in this market.
World Wide Technology Championship – First-round leader
Beau Hossler (+6000)
Hossler is third on the PGA Tour with a first-round scoring average of 68.5. He also has some strong performances at this event, finishing between 15th and 20th in all 3 years of playing here.
