The Cleveland Browns (3-1) and New York Jets (1-3) square off at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Let's analyze NFL odds around the Browns vs. Jets odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
The Browns head into Week 5 and will want to take advantage of the extra rest they had. Cleveland kept their recent successes on "Thursday Night Football" intact last time out, beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 27-24 AFC North nail biter.
QB Deshaun Watson has rose to the occasion at the start of the 2026 season after becoming public enemy No. 1 in Cleveland this offseason. Watson added to that against the Steelers. After the Browns coughed up a 21-7 lead in the first
half, Watson engineered another comeback victory as K Andre Szmyt drilled the game-winning kick from 56 yards out as time expired. Watson completed 24 of 33 passes for 268 yards with a touchdown and interception.
Meanwhile, the Jets went in the opposite direction last week in a 23-12 loss to the Chicago Bears. New York was lackluster on both sides of the ball. The offense couldn't stay off the field and the defense couldn't get off of it. One incredible stat tells the entire story for the effort from head coach Aaron Glenn's team: The Bears had 34 first downs on offense against the Jets and Gang Green only ran 32 plays on offense in the game. Ouch.
The Browns lead this all-time series by the smallest of margins, 16-15. These two did battle just a year ago with the Jets winning 27-20. Cleveland enters Sunday with the same 3-1 record against the spread and in total points so far in 2026. New York is also 1-3 against the point totals but is 2-2 ATS this season.

Browns at Jets picks and predictions
Prediction
Browns 24, Jets 14
Moneyline
BET BROWNS (+115)
These are two teams heading in opposite directions. Both want to become relevant in the NFL again after a long spell in the bottom of the barrel. The Browns are really a surprise underdog here, but due to the points the Jets receive as the home team.
Plus, the Browns have found an identity as a plucky battler that will fight to the end. The Jets haven't established who they are yet and missing the likes of Hall on a rainy day won't help the cause.
Against the spread
PASS.
With such a close spread, take the extra juice with the Browns ML.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 39.5 (-108).
As noted, it's going to be another rainy affair for the Jets in the Meadowlands. It's all they seem to have at home. Both teams have had a knack for finding their way to the Under this season, too.
BEST PROP BET
BET QUINSHON JUDKINS ANYTIME TD (+125)
Judkins only has one rushing touchdown this season, but is he heating up? That TD came last week in the Browns' win over the Steelers. Again, the weather should be a factor here. Don't expect the Browns and Jets to go off script from some ground and pound with the rain forecasted.
