The Dallas Cowboys (2-3) and Green Bay Packers (3-2) square off on Sunday Night Football at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC). Let's analyze NFL odds around the Cowboys at Packers odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
The Cowboys lost to the previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+9.5) 24-16 (Under 49) at home Oct. 8. With undrafted rookie QB Jalon Daniels making his second start, the Buccaneers leaned on their running game with RB Bucky Irving pounding the Cowboys for 165 yards and a TD on 21 carries and adding a TD catch. Daniels threw for 189 yards and 1 TD. The Cowboys were forced to air it out with the Bucs bottling up RB Javonte Williams, who had 45 yards and 1 TD on 12
carries. QB Dak Prescott completed 24 of 42 passes for 316 yards and 1 TD, but also threw 2 INTs. A week after catching 17 passes for 189 yards, Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb was held to 9 yards on 2 catches. WR George Pickens was Prescott's favorite target, catching 9 passes for 130 yards and 1 TD.
The Packers (+1.5) played their best game of the season, trouncing the NFC North-rival Chicago Bears 31-7 (Under 47) at Lambeau last Sunday. It was a complete team effort with the defense holding the Bears to 246 total yards (165 passing, 81 rushing), generating 4 sacks and forcing 5 turnovers (3 INT, 2 fumbles). QB Jordan Love completed 25 of 31 passes for 367 yards and 2 TDs, both to Christian Watson, who had 6 catches for 143 yards. WR Matthew Golden also had a big day with 6 catches for 123 yards, while TE Tucker Kraft had 5 catches for 64 yards. RB MarShawn Lloyd had another rough game (10 carries for 31 yards), but did score 2 rushing TDs
The Packers lead the all-time series vs. Cowboys 22-17-1 and have won 10 of the past 12 meetings. The teams played to a 40-40 tie last September in Dallas. Love completed 31 of 43 passes for 337 yards and 3 TDs, while Prescott completed 31 of 40 passes for 319 yards at 3 TDs. Green Bay forced OT with a 53-yard FG as time expired in regulation, and then forced the tie with a 34-yard FG as time expired in OT after Dallas scored a FG on their first drive.

Cowboys at Packers picks and predictions
Prediction
Packers 38, Cowboys 34
Moneyline
PASS.
If you're on the Cowboys, take the moneyline. If you're on the Packers like I am, go ahead and give the point.
Against the spread
BET PACKERS -1 (-108).
These are perhaps the 2 most schizophrenic teams in the NFL this season. You just never know what team is going to show up. The Packers finally had a breakout offensive game last week, though their running game remains stuck in neutral without RB Josh Jacobs (commissioner's exempt list) as Lloyd has been unable to shoulder the load with 112 yards on 40 carries across 5 games (2.8 yards per carry).
The Cowboys home loss to the Bucs was an absolute stunner as it appeared their offense was running on all cylinders after scoring 37, 31 and 34 points in their previous 3 games. Their defense has been bad all season, ranking 31st in total defense at 395.5 yards per game( YPG), 32nd in run defense (168.4 YPG), 21st in pass defense (227 YPG) and 25th in scoring defense (26.4 points per game).
Though most of the games between the teams over the past decade have been close, the Packers have come out victorious time and again, winning 6 of 8 meetings since the 2015 season. The Cowboys lone win in the period came in 2016 (30-16).
Over/Under
BET OVER 53 (-110).
When these teams get together, defense is an afterthought and I don't really see any reason why we should expect that to change this season. Six straight games between the teams have soared over this total with the Packers scoring at least 31 points in all 6 games. The lowest scoring game during the stretch is a 34-24 (58 points) Packers win in 2019.
Best prop bet
Bet Packers WR CHRISTIAN WATSON ANYTIME TD (+120)
Six of Love's 10 TD passes have been thrown to Watson, who has at least 1 TD catch in 4 of the Packers' 5 games. Since I'm expecting a high-scoring game this week, it stands reason that the Packers' top receiver and scoring threat should be responsible for some of those points.
