Alex White likes a total for her BEST BET in NFL Week 9.
She's looking at Sunday's matchup between the Green Bay Packers (5-3) and the New England Patriots (5-3). Kickoff from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET and will be regionally televised on FOX.
The Packers enjoyed a few extra days off, last playing in the Week 8 Thursday Night football game where they defeated the Carolina Panthers 27-19 at Lambeau Field. Green Bay covered as a 3.5-point favorite with the Under (47.5) cashing. QB Jordan Love threw for 288 yards with 3 TDs and a pick as the Pack rebounded from a 20-17 Week 7 loss at the rival Detroit Lions.
The Patriots also bounced back from a Week 7 loss -- 30-24 at the Chicago Bears -- with a 24-19
victory at the Miami Dolphins last Sunday. QB Drake Maye finished with 2 passing TDs and 1 rushing TD as the Pats rallied from a 10-3 halftime deficit vs. the Fins. However, New England did not cover as a 6.5-point favorite and the Over (41.5) hit.
For the season, Green Bay is 5-3 against the spread (ATS) with a 2-6 Over/Under (O/U) mark, while New England is 4-4 ATS with a 5-3 O/U record.
As of Saturday at 7:56 p.m. ET, BetMGM lists the total at 44.5 (Over: -110 | Under -108). It opened at 47.5.
- Moneyline: Packers +140 (bet $100 to win $140) | Patriots -165 (bet $165 to win $100)
- Against the spread: Packers +3 (-105) | Patriots -3 (-112)
