I'm all-in on the Pistons in this one. The Heat have significant issues on the defensive side, and as monumental as the addition of Giannis is, it may take some time to gel. The Pistons are also a better team than the Timberwolves that boatraced the Heat.
But take the points at a cheaper rate. PASS.
Against the spread
Take the PISTONS -1.5 (-110) for all the reasons above.
Over/Under
Detroit hit the Over in its season opener, and the Heat went Under a tall 249.5. This is a more reasonable number, and the OVER 235.5 (-110) is the way to go.
Best prop bet
Take Heat F GIANNIS ANTETOKOUMPO UNDER 44.5 POINTS+REBOUNDS+ASSISTS (-115).
He had 35 points in the opener but just 6 boards and 1 assist. If he's not going to be able to secure 10 boards a night with Adebayo there or have a competent backcourt that can hit shots when he dishes, this might be one to ride for a while as he'll have to score 38 a night to hit the Over.
