The New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks meet Wednesday for the regular-season opener at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC). Let's analyze NFL odds around the Patriots vs. Seahawks odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
These teams met at Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, California, Feb. 8, 2026, with the Seahawks posting the 29-13 victory as 5.5-point favorites as the Under (45.5) cashed. QB Sam Darnold threw for 202 yards with a TD, while TE AJ Barner had 54 yards with a TD. WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba was held down, managing just 4 grabs for 27 yards despite 10 targets. RB Kenneth Walker III rumbled for 135 yards, but he is gone to Kansas City as a free agent, replaced
by draft pick RB Jadarian Price.
In that loss, Patriots QB Drake Maye went for 295 passing yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs, while RB Rhamondre Stevenson rushed for 23 yards on 7 carries, and he added 5 receptions for 40 yards and a TD. He is likely to see a lion's share of the carries, as RB TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) is nursing an ankle injury.
Seattle has won 4 consecutive meetings in this series, with a 23-20 OT win Sept. 15, 2024, in Foxboro in the most recent regular-season battle. The last time these teams met in Seattle, the Seahawks won a 35-30 barn burner in 2020 as the Over (45) cashed. Seattle is 3-0-1 against the spread (ATS) in the past 4 meetings, and 5-1-1 ATS in the past 7 since 2008, too.

Patriots at Seahawks picks and predictions
Prediction
Seahawks 24, Patriots 20
Moneyline
If you're a little conservative, and looking to take it slow, Seahawks (-185) is still just a little too expensive. It will cost you nearly 2 times your potential return.
PASS.
Against the spread
Back SEAHAWKS -3 (-118) in this Super Bowl LX rematch.
Seattle has handled New England in recent seasons. Now, in these regular-season rematches after the Super Bowl, we have seen the losing team have some measure of success. However, Lumen Field is a madhouse, and perhaps no team has more of a home-field advantage than they do in Seattle.
As long as this stays at a flat 3 or lower, go with Seattle. If this inches up to +3.5, or perhaps even +4, then go with the Patriots lightly.
Over/Under
UNDER 44.5 (-110) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at best.
The Under is worth playing lightly, as these teams could potentially start off a bit sluggish in a rare Wednesday kickoff to start the season. Eventually, we'll see these teams settle in, but expect a slow start.
