The Houston Texans (0-4) and Tennessee Titans (0-4) meet Sunday in Nashville, Tennessee, for a Week 5 AFC South battle. Kickoff from Nissan Stadium is at 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Let's analyze NFL odds around the Texans vs. Titans odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
The Texans remain winless after a heartbreaking 34-30 home loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. Houston fell as a 2.5-point favorite, while the Over (48.5) cashed. QB C.J. Stroud delivered his best performance of the season, though, throwing for 347 yards and 2 touchdowns. Both scoring passes went to WR Nico Collins, who finished with 7 catches for 118 yards.
The Titans are also still winless after falling 24-18 to the Baltimore Ravens last weekend. Tennessee
covered as an 11.5-point road underdog, while the Under 42.5 cashed. QB Cam Ward threw for 222 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Rookie WR Carnell Tate delivered the best performance of his young career with 9 catches for 145 yards.
Houston has controlled the recent series against Tennessee, winning 3 straight meetings. The Texans took the most recent matchup 16-13 on Nov. 16, 2025, but the Titans covered as 5.5-point home underdogs. The Under (37.5) also cashed in that contest.

Texans at Titans picks and predictions
Prediction
Texans 21, Titans 10
Moneyline
PASS.
I think the Texans (-350) handle this Titans squad without much problem, which is why I'll take my bet to the spread.
Against the spread
BET TEXANS -7 (-115).
Houston has struggled through 4 weeks, opening 0-4 straight up and ATS. But Sunday's matchup presents an opportunity to get back on track. The Texans have won 6 of their last 7 meetings with the Titans, including 3 straight.
Tennessee is also winless and has yet to score more than 20 points in a game. Ward continues to struggle, and the Titans haven't shown much consistency offensively.
Houston's defense has allowed at least 30 points twice this season, but facing Tennessee's struggling offense should help and Stroud is also coming off his best performance of the season.
Road divisional games can be tricky, but Houston has the more proven quarterback and enough offensive firepower to take advantage of a Tennessee team still searching for answers.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 38 (-108).
Houston's offense showed signs of life last week, scoring 30 points against Dallas. Meanwhile, the Texans' defense ranks 26th in opponent EPA per play, giving Tennessee opportunities to move the ball. With Houston finding its rhythm and both defenses showing vulnerabilities, Sunday's AFC South matchup could feature more offense than expected. Still, take the Under.
Best prop bet
TEXANS WR NICO COLLINS OVER 76.5 RECEIVING YARDS (-115).
Collins returned from injury with 7 catches for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns against Dallas last week. He has recorded at least 50 receiving yards in 11 straight regular-season games and remains Stroud's favorite target, commanding a 28.6% target share. Tennessee ranks third worst in defensive pass DVOA and allows 7.9 yards per attempt. With Houston averaging nearly 38 pass attempts per game, Collins should have plenty of opportunities against the Titans' struggling secondary.
