The Green Bay Packers (0-1) and New York Jets (1-0) square off Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Let's analyze NFL odds around the Packers vs. Jets odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
After jumping out to a 22-10 lead in the second half, the Packers allowed 29 unanswered points in a stunning 39-22 (Over 45.5) opening week loss last Sunday at 2.5-point favorite Minnesota, which lost its starting QB Kyler Murray in the first quarter with a concussion. QB Carson Wentz led the Vikings comeback completing 12 of 19 passes for 133 yards and 3 TDs. Green Bay QB Jordan Love completed 21 of 42 passes for 387 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT, while WR Christian Watson
caught both TDs and racked up 147 yards on 6 receptions. The Packers ground was stifled with RB MarShawn Lloyd running for 37 yards on 13 carries, while RB Chris Brooks added 29 yards on 7 carries.
The Jets (+1.5) never trailed and cruised to a 23-10 (Under 39.5) victory in their opener at Tennessee last Sunday. RB Breece Hall rushed for 102 yards and a TD on 22 carries, while QB Geno Smith was efficient in his first game back with the Jets, completing 19 of 24 passes for 215 yards. New York WR Garrett Wilson led all receivers with 6 catches for 79 yards. The Jets defense dominated, holding the Titans to 195 total yards (127 passing, 68 rushing), sacking QB Cam Ward 3 times and forcing 1 fumble.
The Jets lead the all-time series vs. the Packers 9-5. The Jets won the last meeting between the teams 27-10 at Green Bay on Oct. 16, 2022.

Packers at Jets picks and predictions
Prediction
Packers 24, Jets 16
Moneyline
PASS.
After the way last season ended and this season began, there's probably no team (outside of Indianapolis) that needs a win in Week 2 more than the Packers. Green Bay ended last season with 5 straight losses -- including in the playoffs -- and many in similar fashion to last Sunday: holding a nice lead, only to melt down in the fourth quarter.
If the Packers were to drop to 0-2 with a loss to the Jets, it would be a bad sign for coach Matt LaFleur making it through the season.
The safe bet is Packers moneyline, but I think there's value on the spread.
Against the spread
BET PACKERS -3.5 (-105).
Overreaction to Week 1 results skewed this spread more than most. Yes, the Packers have some issues, especially in the run game without RB Josh Jacobs. But they lost on the road to an underrated Vikings team that should be competitive in the NFC Central this season.
Let's not fool ourselves into thinking that the Jets are any good just yet. What they proved so far is that they're not as bad as the Titans, whose offense likely will rank among the worst in the league this season.
I like Green Bay to rebound from that opening week loss and win comfortably. The Jets haven't started 2-0 since 2015.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 44.5 (-108).
I expect the Packers to keep Smith, Hall and the Jets offense in check and not implode this week.
Best prop bet
BET GENO SMITH OVER 0.5 INTERCEPTIONS (+105 at BETMGM)
Lest we forget, Smith led the league in interceptions last season and didn't have any back-to-back weeks without an INT. He kept a clean sheet last Sunday against the Titans, can he do so again in Week 2?
