The Pistons held the Heat to just 39 of 102 (38%) shooting from the field and 15 of 51 (29%) from long range while winning the rebounding battle for the second consecutive game. Pistons at 76ers picks and predictions
Prediction
76ers 117, Pistons 114
Moneyline
BET 76ERS (-110).
With Duren out, the probable resting of Embiid should be much more bearable for Philly. Also, the return of F Dean Wade will likely be huge for the defense of the Sixers in this matchup, especially if Embiid is out and another bigger body is needed in the starting lineup. Detroit's defense is still elite, but the Pistons won't be able to get enough going offensively to win this game, and when Detroit has multiple shooters in the game at once, expect that Philly gets whatever it wants on offense.
Against the spread
PASS.
The Sixers will cover here as +1.5 (-118) underdogs, but expecting a Philadelphia win the ML is a better value.
Over/Under
LEAN OVER 227.5 (-110).
Both centers likely being out for this matchup means that both teams will be a bit weaker on the glass and a bit weaker defensively in the paint, and I could also see it leading to both teams trying to play faster and get out in transition more. Both teams still have great perimeter defenders, but I expect this to be a game where we get big numbers from the stars that lead to the Over cashing.
The Over is 2-0 for the Pistons this season.
Best prop bet
76ers F LEBRON JAMES OVER 6.5 REBOUNDS (-155).
LeBron is averaging 9.5 rebounds per game this season, and with Embiid out, the responsibility to crash the glass will fall heavily on his shoulders, and the opportunity will be there. Also, if the Sixers are going to get out in transition consistently in this game, LeBron is the guy you want taking the rebound and either making the outlet pass or just taking the ball up the court.
