The New York Jets (2-3) and New England Patriots (3-2) square off at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Sunday for an AFC East battle. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Let's analyze NFL odds around the Jets vs. Patriots odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
The Jets head into Week 6 staring their biggest game of the season to date in the face. After a win against the Cleveland Browns last week, New York has a chance to get right back in the thick of things in the AFC postseason picture if Gang Green can pull off the upset against the Patriots.
On offense, the Jets are thriving on mistake-free football led by QB Geno Smith, who has yet to throw an interception this season. His strong connection
with WR Garrett Wilson, who went over 100 yards receiving again last week, has led the way while RB Breece Hall (quad) is out. Defensively, head coach Aaron Glenn has made a difference by taking over play-calling duties in 2026.
But the Patriots will be no easy task to beat. New England is back on the up with QB Drake Maye dealing in back-to-back wins over the Buffalo Bills and a rout against the Las Vegas Raiders last week. On top of that, WR AJ Brown (ankle) has been activated from injured reserve, adding another layer of threat. Defensively, CB Christian Gonzalez vs. Wilson on the Jets offense will be must-see TV.
The Patriots beat the Jets in both of their AFC East battles last season. So far in 2026, New England is 4-1 against the spread and the Over has hit in their past two games since turning things around. Meanwhile, the Jets are 3-2 ATS this season and have only hit the Over once.

Jets at Patriots picks and predictions
Prediction
Patriots 21, Jets 17
Moneyline
PASS.
The Patriots should win this one at home, but there is no juice at -350.
Against the spread
BET JETS +7 (-102).
The Jets are 3-2 ATS and haven't been blown out in any game this year -- these aren't "the same old Jets." New York is battling week in and week out. Even though the Patriots are the pick to win, the Jets' spread is the best bet. Not only is this a sizable number for the NFL, but this is a divisional matchup and those will traditionally be tight ones.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 43.5 (-110).
The Patriots offense looks back on track. That doesn't mean it'll be easy against the Jets. This has the makings of a divisional slugfest on the defensive side of things which makes the Under look pretty.
That, and these are two top-five defenses doing battle. The Jets rank No. 4 in the NFL, allowing just 293.0 yards per game. The Patriots sit right behind them at 296.2
BEST PROP BET
BET GARRETT WILSON ANYTIME TD (+180)
With Brown returning to the Patriots' lineup, it's hard to determine from where the Pats will score. RB Rhamondre Stevenson is a great guess, but not a good bet at -185. Wilson's connection with Smith behind center took another step forward last week and one could envision that combo continuing to find the end zone.
