While I'm picking the Jaguars to win, it's wouldn't surprise if the Patriots pulled off the small upset. Their defense is legit, allowing a total of 16 points through the first two games of the season. New England has also won nine of its last 10 road games, with the lone loss the 13-10 setback to the Seattle Seahawks in this season opener.
Against the spread
BET JAGUARS -3 (-105).
The Jaguars will look to rebound from an abysmal offensive game in Denver, though it doesn't exactly get easier against this Patriots defense. I just don't trust the Patriots' offense right now. Maye hasn't looked anything like the NFL MVP runner-up he was a season ago. Through 2 games, he's completed 67.3 percent of his passes for 386 yards with 1 TD and 4 INTs. The Patriots are averaging 11.5 points on offense (one of their TDs vs. the Steelers was a defensive score). I'm expecting a game that will be decided by a TD or less. The safer bet is probably the moneyline, but when the spread is 3 or under, I usually prefer to give the points.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 46 (-110).
Between the Patriots' great defense and lack of offense, I'm expecting a low-scoring affair in Jacksonville. I think the Patriots will keep the Jaguars' offense in check just like the Broncos did and this game will easily go Under.
