The Dodgers have the edge in Game 1, even with Misiorowski starting for Milwaukee.
Skubal looked sharp in his first postseason start with Los Angeles, his increased fastball velocity could also cause problems for a Brewers lineup that has struggled against high-end pitching.
Misiorowski is coming off an outstanding regular season, but his pitch count remains a concern. He needed 88 pitches to get through 4 innings against San Diego, forcing Milwaukee to rely heavily on its bullpen.
The Dodgers have the power to make Misiorowski work, while Skubal gives Los Angeles a better chance of getting deeper into the game. With the stronger lineup and an advantage in starting pitching, I'm backing the Dodgers on the moneyline in Game 1.

Game 1 of the NLCS sets up as a pitching duel between Skubal and Misiorowski. Skubal posted a 1.70 road ERA this season and allowed just 1 run against Atlanta in the NLDS. Misiorowski finished with a 1.80 ERA and held the Dodgers to 1 run in their August meeting. Milwaukee's bullpen was also excellent against San Diego. With 2 elite starters, I'm riding the Under 6 runs.
