Let's analyze NFL odds around the Colts vs. Commanders odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
The Colts lead the all-time series 21-11-0, but the Commanders won the most recent meeting 17-16 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Oct. 30, 2022. The Colts had won the previous four meetings.
Indianapolis snuck by the Houston Texans 19-17 in Week 3 for its first win of the season. The Colts covered as 1.5-point underdogs as the Under (42.5) cashed. Indy is 2-1 against the spread (ATS) in 3 outings, while the Over is 2-1.
Washington surprised the visiting Seattle Seahawks last weekend 33-31 as an 8.5-point underdog as QB Marcus Mariota made his first start in place of the injured QB Jayden Daniels (elbow). The Commanders have averaged 25.0 points per game (PPG) while allowing 30.7 PPG, with the Over cashing in all 3 outings this season and the team going 2-1 ATS.
The Commanders last played overseas on Nov. 16, 2025, in Madrid, Spain, falling 16-13 to the Miami Dolphins in overtime. Colts vs. Commanders picks and predictions
Prediction
Colts 30, Commanders 23
Moneyline
The Colts (-210) will cost you more than 2 times your potential return. That's way too much on a team which barely won for the first time in 3 tries last time out against the Texans.
On the flip side, the Commanders can't be trusted, either. They're too banged up with Mariota behind center, no White in the backfield, and perhaps no McLaurin as a downfield threat, too.
AVOID.
Against the spread
We're going to go with the COLTS -4.5 (-108), but go very, very lightly.
The Commanders have more injury concerns, but the Colts could potentially be missing Allen and Dulin. They still have RB Jonathan Taylor, though, and he'll easily be the best offensive player on the field.
Over/Under
OVER 47 (-105) is a good play, although the sportsbooks might have pumped up the line based on Washington's wild, high-scoring win over Seattle last week and the Over being 3-0 for the Commanders.
For Indianapolis, the Under cashed last week, but the Colts averaged 26.5 PPG while allowing 37.0 PPG in their first two games. Look for plenty of points to entertain the English fans.
