Ravens at Falcons picks and predictions
Prediction
Falcons 21, Ravens 17
Moneyline
PASS.
I think the Falcons (-175) cement the game late and get the big win on Sunday night, which is why I'll take my bet to the spread.
Against the spread
BET FALCONS -3 (-118).
Atlanta enters Sunday night riding a 2-game winning streak, while Baltimore is dealing with injuries at several key positions. Jackson has been ruled out and QB Tyler Huntley will get the start against one of the NFL's toughest defenses.
The Ravens also have multiple injuries along their offensive line, which could be a major problem against an Atlanta defense that leads the league in run defense and quarterback pressures. Baltimore ranks sixth in scoring, but maintaining that production without Jackson will be a tall order.
Meanwhile, the Falcons have found their rhythm offensively since Penix returned. Atlanta rushed for 205 yards and 5 touchdowns against New Orleans last week, with Bijan leading the way.
Baltimore's defense should provide a tougher challenge, but Atlanta's strong ground game and ability to pressure opposing quarterbacks give the Falcons a significant advantage at home.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 43.5 (-108).
Baltimore's offense faces a tough challenge with Jackson sidelined and Huntley starting. Atlanta leads the NFL in run defense, allowing just 48.3 rushing yards per game and 2.7 yards per carry, making things difficult for Henry. The Falcons also rely heavily on their ground game, which should help control the clock. With both teams likely leaning on the run, scoring opportunities could be limited Sunday night.
Best prop bet
RAVENS WR ZAY FLOWERS 75+ RECEIVING YARDS (+115).
Flowers has been Baltimore's most reliable receiving threat, topping 75 yards in 3 games this season, including 8 catches for 118 yards against Tennessee last week. With Jackson sidelined, Huntley could lean heavily on Flowers through quick throws and shorter routes against Atlanta's aggressive pass rush. The 2 have familiarity from their time together in Baltimore, which should help their chemistry. Flowers is dealing with a foot injury, but his production remains encouraging.
