BET HEAT (+105)
After starting 0-4, the new-look Heat may be finding their rhythm with Antetokounmpo, handily winning their last 2 games. They've had a couple of days off as they get set to begin a 5-game Western Conference road trip. They're catching the Lakers at a perfect time, as L.A. will be playing the second game of a back-to-back for the second time in less than a week.
Doncic sat out the second game of last week's back-to-back, which the Lakers won, defeating the LA Clippers 103-87, a day after he scored 41 points in a 136-129 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Against the spread
PASS.
It's not a huge spread, so I will forgo the points and take the Heat straight up. Whether Doncic plays or not, I still like the Heat, but lines could change drastically if he's rested.
Over/Under
PASS.
I'd lean Over as the Lakers defense on tired legs is what's most likely to suffer on the second night of a back-to-back against a well-rested Heat team. However, if Doncic doesn't play, the Lakers offense will take a hit as well. Playing without Doncic, their 103 points in their loss to the Clippers on Oct. 28 was their second lowest scoring output of the season.
Best prop bet
Bet Heat G KLAY THOMPSON OVER 2.5 3-POINTERS MADE (+105).
Thompson is on the Heat for one reason: To make 3-pointers. He's made at least 3 3-pointers in 3 of the Heat's 6 games and he's coming off his best game in which he hit 7 of 12 3-point attempts.
