The Baltimore Ravens (4-3) and Buffalo Bills (5-1) meet Sunday in Orchard Park, New York, for a Week 8 AFC clash. Kickoff from Highmark Stadium is at 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Let's analyze NFL odds around the Ravens vs. Bills odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
The Ravens and Bills meet in a battle which could loom large later this season when the AFC playoff picture starts to become clearer.
Baltimore enters Sunday with a winning record but the Ravens sit in the basement of the AFC North. Even so, that is an acceptable position for Baltimore right now. That's because the Ravens have guided their way to that record with starting QB Lamar Jackson missing three outings.
Baltimore's trip to Buffalo will mark Jackson's return
from an ankle injury. While RB Derrick Henry will need to be respected by the Bills, Jackson returning under center is the main headline for this one.
And Jackson returns just in time. The Ravens are coming off of back-to-back losses, most recently an ugly 35-13 divisional loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last week.
Meanwhile, the Bills welcome the Ravens feeling refreshed. Winners of back-to-back games, Buffalo most recently spent Week 7 on their yearly bye week. But that came at a positive time, as several Bills players, including QB Josh Allen (knee), have played through some injuries. WR DJ Moore has outright missed time but appears likely to return against Baltimore.
Against the spread, both teams have a worse record than their actual one. Buffalo is at 4-2 and Baltimore sits at 2-5. As for the point totals, the two sides match their actual records at 5-1 and 4-3, respectively.

Ravens at Bills picks and predictions
Prediction
Ravens 31, Bills 30
Moneyline
BET RAVENS (+145).
The Ravens sorely need a win here and this is the Bills' first post-bye week game with Joe Brady as head coach. That, combined with Jackson returning after a layoff, makes it tough to predict which team gets the upper hand early. Regardless, Allen and the rest of Buffalo's offense have to play a flawless game against a Baltimore defense that ranks just outside the top 10 in yards allowed per game (317.4).
In addition to Jackson's return potentially giving Baltimore a huge boost, Henry has roasted the Bills in recent years. In his two regular-season games against Buffalo as a member of the Ravens, Henry has games of 199 and 169 rushing yards with four total touchdowns.
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: Best prop bets
Against the spread
PASS.
The Ravens have a real possibility of just winning this one outright.
Over/Under
BET OVER 54.5 (-108).
It's a huge number to reach, but it is reachable. The Bills beat the Ravens 41-40 game little more than a year ago, and this season Buffalo not only puts up a league-best 32.8 points per game but also gives points away at an almost equal rate. Play the Over.
