The Washington Wizards (2-2) face the Cleveland Cavaliers (2-1) Wednesday in Cleveland, Ohio. Tip-off from Rocket Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET. Let's analyze NBA odds around the Wizards vs. Cavaliers odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.
2025-26 season series: Cavaliers won 4-0, including in NBA Cup
Washington lost 110-103 at the Charlotte Hornets Monday as a 2.5-point underdog as the Under (226.5) cashed. F Anthony Davis finished with 29 points and 10 boards, while G Kyshawn George had 20 and G Trae Young scored 22 points with 10 assists, but that wasn't enough to overcome the 54-41 disparity on the glass that led to 26 second-chance points for Charlotte. The Wizards allow 15.3 offensive rebounds per game, tied for second-worst
in the NBA.
Cleveland picked up an impressive 127-125 OT win over the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday, but failed to cover as a 3.5-point home favorite while the Over (234.5) hit. G Donovan Mitchell scored 26, including 5 in OT, to come away with the win and spoil Timberwolves G Anthony Edwards' 47-point night. The Cavs have won back-to-back games while shooting 40% from beyond the arc, after shooting only 24% from long range in the season-opening loss to thw Philadelphia 76ers.

Wizards at Cavaliers picks and predictions

Moneyline
PASS.
The Cavs should win this game, but they are not worth the risk of backing as -400 favorites, so pass and bet on the spread and/or total instead.
Against the spread
LEAN WIZARDS +9.5 (-102).
Cleveland has been a very inconsistent team since this core was put together, especially when it comes to shooting the 3-ball, and since shooting has been the key to each of Cleveland's wins this season, you should not feel comfortable backing the Cavs here. Also, this line is a bit aggressive when you consider that Washington's offensive rating (111.2) and net rating (0.0) are both better than Cleveland's (108.8, -0.9).
If Dybantsa is able to suit up for his first career NBA game here, I feel even more confident backing Washington to cover ATS as his ability to get to the free-throw line and put pressure on the rim will help add yet another element to this Wizards offense.
Over/Under
BET OVER 239.5 (-105).
If Washington is going to keep this one close, it will have to be an offensive game, and with the amount of stars present in this matchup, it is likely that there are some crazy offensive numbers put up here. Both teams have good defensive players individually, but neither squad will be able to shut down all of the stars on the opposing side.
The Over has hit in back-to-back games for the Cavs and is 5-0 in the last 5 matchups between these squads.
If Dybantsa is good to go, I feel even more confident about this bet as well.
Best prop bet
Wizards G TRAE YOUNG OVER 9.5 ASSISTS (+100).
Young is averaging 11 assists per game, and his only game in which he didn't reach this number came in a blowout win over Chicago, in which he played his fewest minutes of the season, and he still finished with 9. Young will always be the possession starter for Washington, and in the half-court, he will always be running the offense.
In his last 6 matchups against Cleveland, Young has recorded at least 10 assists in 5 of them, and the lone outlier came back in 2024 in a game where Young only played 28 minutes.
