Although I'm not picking the upset this week, I'm tempted, mostly because the Texans have given Lawrence fits through the years. Lawrence is 3-7 in his career vs. the Texans, with 8 TDs and 11 INTs.
If this game were being played stateside, I probably would pick the upset. But the Jaguars have the advantage of having already spent more than a week in London, while the Texans didn't depart Houston until Thursday night. In the two previous occasions they played back-to-back games in London, the Jaguars are 2-0 in the second game, defeating the Bills 25-20 in 2023 and beating the Patriots 32-16 in 2024.
Against the spread
BET JAGUARS -2.5 (-115).
While the Texans may be better than their 1-4 record indicates, I'm passing on picking the upset and will give the 2.5 points, even though the Jaguars are coming off a game in which they only won by 2 points.
The Texans will have a new weapon on offense after trading for Arizona Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. How much it helps the Texans remains to be seen as, despite some injuries, the passing attack has performed relatively well, with Stroud ranking fourth in passing yards (1,402).
Although the Jaguars have the NFL's top-ranked defense against the run (63.8 ypg), they've been vulnerable to the pass, ranking 30th in the league (266.2 ypg). The Texans defense shares a similar stat line. ranking third against the run (78.4 ypg) and 23rd against the pass (234 ypg).
I expect a close one, with the Jaguars ultimately prevailing.
Over/Under
BET OVER 42.5 (-108).
Six of the past 7 games between the teams have gone Over this total. While Stroud has moved the ball through the air and should be able to do so again, he's struggled to lead the team to paydirt, ranking 19th in TD passes (6).

BET WR MARVIN HARRISON JR. 50+ RECEIVING YARDS (+375)
Yeah, he's been with the team less than a week, but the value is exceptional. In his reunion with former Ohio State teammate Stroud, he has a chance to make an immediate impact with the Texans facing one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. At the time of this writing, you could even find him at -105 for 25+ yards.
