Mistakes proved costly as the Seahawks fell 17-14 in OT (Under 40.5) at the Denver Broncos (+2.5) Oct. 15 for their second straight loss. While Seattle outgained Denver 353 yards to 168, the Seahawks turned ball over 3 times vs. none for the Broncos and QB Sam Darnold was sacked 5 times. Darnold completed 27 of 51 passes for 278 yards and 0 TDs. The Seahawks were able to get the ball back and force OT after his first INT late in the fourth quarter, but his second INT came on the first drive in OT and the Broncos were able to kick the game-winning FG on their ensuing drive. Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba had 12 catches for 134 yards in the loss.
The Chiefs lead the all-time series 34-19. The former AFC West rivals haven't met since 2022, a 24-10 victory by the Chiefs in Kansas City. Mahomes completed 16 of 28 passes for 224 and 2 TDs, while current Chiefs RB Walker, playing for the Seahawks at the time, had 107 yards on 26 carries.

The Seahawks are in desperate need of a win, but I'm not sure the Chiefs are the best matchup right now, even at home.
The common denominator in all 3 Seahawks losses this season are turnovers: 3 vs. the Washington Commanders, 4 vs. the San Francisco 49ers and 3 vs. Denver. Darnold tossed 2 INTs in each game. The Chiefs have force 9 turnovers and have a +5 turnover differential, while Seattle is at -1.
The Seahawks are probably missing Walker more than they expected. While he helped deliver the Seahawks a title as the Super Bowl MVP last season, Walker didn't exactly leave Seattle under the best of terms. The Seahawks should be regretting letting him walk as he's found a perfect situation as the feature back alongside Mahomes in Kansas City, leading the league with 665 rushing yards.
Against the spread
PASS.
You could buy it up to 3.5 and take the points, but I'm comfortable that the Chiefs can win this game straight up.
Over/Under
BET OVER 42.5 (-108).
I could be way off, but I got this one soaring past the Over even though both teams rank top 10 in scoring defense. And that's because both teams rank top half of the NFL in scoring offense as well, with the Chiefs averaging 28 points per game and the Seahawks 24.7 PPG. I like the offenses in this game, especially with Walker carrying a chip on his shoulder in his return to Seattle.

With all the attention on Walker this week, let's not forget the Chiefs have a pretty good passer as well. Last week was the first game that Mahomes didn't throw at least 2 TD passes this season.
