The Cleveland Browns (5-2) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2) meet Sunday for a Week 8 matchup at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Let's analyze NFL odds around the Browns vs. Steelers odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
Season series: Browns lead 1-0; Cleveland (+2.5) won 27-24 on Thursday Night Football in Week 4 as a slight home dog. PK Andre Szmyt hit a game-winning field goal from 56 yards out with 10 seconds left in regulation to win it.
Cleveland is tied for first place in the AFC North, in terms of record, but it holds the head-to-head tiebreaker with wins over the Steelers, as well as a 13-10 win over the Baltimore Ravens, who are a game back at 4-3.
The Browns are looking for their first regular-season sweep of the Steelers since 1988.
The Browns have won 5 of the past 6 games, and all 5 of those victories are by 4 or fewer points, with an average margin of victory of 3.2 points per game (PPG). Cleveland is also 5-1 against the spread (ATS) in that 6-game span, while the Under has a slight 3-2 edge.
The Steelers (-2.5) are coming home after a 16-10 win over the New Orleans Saints in Paris, and Pittsburgh has won and covered each of the past 3 games since that setback on TNF in Cleveland in Week 4. The Over is 4-1 in the past 5 outings.

Browns at Steelers picks and predictions
Prediction
Steelers 23, Browns 18
Moneyline
The Steelers (-190) will set you back nearly 2 times your potential return, and that's just too much risk for not nearly enough reward, at least for a singular play. If you were to use a boost or promo, or toss Pittsburgh into a multi-leg parlay, that's probably OK.
However, AVOID for a single play.
Against the spread
The STEELERS -3.5 (-108) are worth a look, as Pittsburgh comes in hot with 3 straight wins and covers. However, one wonders if there might be some rust after the long trip back from Paris.
However, the Browns can't be trusted. As mentioned above, Cleveland hasn't swept Pittsburgh in 38 years. But if the Browns ever have a chance to break that spell, this might be it as the Browns are playing their best football in years.
Over/Under
OVER 39.5 (-108) is the leanvbut go with a half-unit play at most.
The Over has a slight 4-3 edge for the Browns in 7 games, including 3-1 in 4 road games. The total also went high with 51 combined points in the Week 4 matchup with the Steelers.
Pittsburgh has cashed high in 4 of the past 5 games, although the total went low in France last week. That's to be expected with all of the travel, unfamiliarity with the stadium, etc. Back on home soil, against a familiar foe, we should see a little more scoring.
Best prop bet
BROWNS WR KC CONCEPCION OVER 4.5 RECEPTIONS (-125).
The Browns might have unlocked a huge part of their offense last week in Tennessee, figuring out how to best use the rookie Concepcion. He worked a lot in the slot, securing 8 grabs on 10 targets on short and intermediate routes. He makes himself small and can hide behind larger blockers. His work in the short passing game will be invaluable against another tough opponent on the road.
