While the Falcons totaled 242 yards on the ground, the Packers were held to 17 yards on 9 attempts led by RB MarShawn Lloyd had 4 carries for 11 yards. Packers QB Jordan Love's arm got a workout as he threw 53 passes, completing 28 for 312 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. Green Bay WR Matthew Golden caught 5 passes for 100 yards and 1 TD,
and WR Christian Watson caught 7 passes for 96 yards and 1 TD. Atlanta QB Michael Penix Jr. made his season debut, completing 18 of 25 passes for 256 yards, with 1 TD and 1 INT. Falcons WR Drake London hauled in 9 passes for 194 yards.
QB Baker Mayfield dislocated the thumb on his throwing hand late in the fourth quarter, and the team's offensive struggles continued in a 23-16 (Under 42.5) loss to the visiting Vikings (-1.5). Mayfield, who was 17 of 35 for 217 yards with 1 TD, 1 INT and sacked 6 times, is expected to miss at least 3 weeks. Backup QB Jalon Daniels came in for the Bucs' final drive and was 0 for 3, throwing an INT on his final pass. RB Bucky Irving carried the ball 15 times for 46 yards as the Bucs were limited to 57 yards on the ground. While the Bucs defense held the Vikings to 230 yards (152 passing, 78 rushing), they gave up an 86-yard punt return for a TD that was ultimately the difference in the game.
The Packers lead the all-time series 34-24-1, though the Bucs have won 3 of the last 4 matchups. The Bucs won the last meeting, 34-20, at Green Bay on Dec. 17, 2023. Mayfield was 22 of 28 for 381 yards and 4 TDs, with WR Chris Godwin catching 10 passes for 155 yards. Love completed 29 of 39 passes for 284 yards and 2 TDs in the loss.

I actually do think the Bucs can win this game straight up despite starting an undrafted rookie at QB, but I'm not ready to completely go out on that limb. I'll take the points.
Against the spread
BET BUCCANEERS +3.5 (-118).
The Bucs will need to lean on their running game, which hasn't been great, averaging a mediocre 94.3 ypg, but it is a Packers weakness as they are allowing 138.7 rushing ypg.
Defensively, the Bucs rank sixth overall (282.7 ypg), second in rushing defense (76 ypg) and 12th in passing defense (206.7 ypg). Green Bay's offensive line is a complete mess. While Love ranks fourth in passing (281.3 ypg), he's been sacked 8 times and has a completion percentage of 52.4%, second-worst among players who've thrown at least 14 passes. Only Jameis Winston is worse. That's in large part because the team can't run, averaging a league worst 48.7 ypg on the ground. The next worst team is at 81 rushing ypg.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 39.5 (-112).
It's a very low spread, but both these offenses have significant issues. With Mayfield, the Bucs ranked 27th in total offense (279.3 ypg), 26th in passing offense (185 ypg) and 23rd in rushing offense (98.3 ypg). I wouldn't expect those numbers to improve with Daniels, an undrafted rookie QB out of Kansas. Once again, defense should rule the day in Tampa.
Best prop bet
BOTH TEAMS TO MAKE 2+ FIELD GOALS (+240)
This is one of my favorite props when I see a game featuring two struggling offenses and expect TDs will be hard to come by. The Bucs have made at least 2 FGs in every game this season, while the Packers have hit the mark in 2 of their 3 games.
