Season series: Diamondbacks lead 8-1
The Diamondbacks have dominated this season series, winning 8 of 9 meetings, but the Giants won 6-4 in the most recent matchup July 1 as slight underdogs (+110) in Arizona as the Over (9.5) cashed. The total has gone high at a 5-1-1 clip in the past 7 in the series.
Arizona (+104) won 2-0 in the series finale against the Chicago Cubs behind LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (Win, 7 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 3 BB, 9 K), clinching
the series with 2 wins in 3 games. CF Jordan Lawlar went 2 for 3 with a solo homer for the Snakes.

Diamondbacks at Giants picks and predictions
Prediction
Giants 6, Diamondbacks 5
Moneyline
The GIANTS (-110) are worth a look at home in this series opener behind Roupp. It's not so much that the San Francisco right-handed starter can be trusted, but Cabrera has been so shaky in his previous outings.
Run line/Against the spread
If are super conservative, and can't bring yourself to take the home team straight up, GIANTS +1.5 (-190) is just too much. When it was at -180, my personal limit, it was fine. If you need some insurance, and you use San Francisco in a multi-leg parlay, go for it.
Over/Under
The OVER 8 (-105) is the best play in the series opener with Cabrera and Roupp hemorrhaging runs in their starts this season. Expect to see plenty of offense in this game, and it's a rather low line considering their giving ways.
OVER 4.5 - FIRST 5 INNINGS (-105) is also a strong play, as these 2 starters should be hit hard early.
