The Cleveland Browns (5-3) and the New Orleans Saints (2-5) meet Sunday for a Week 9 game at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Let's analyze NFL odds around the Browns vs. Saints odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
Browns lead all-time series 13-7; Saints have won the past 3 meetings, including a 35-14 rout in New Orleans Nov. 17, 2024, in the most recent meeting. Cleveland's last victory in the series came on Sept. 14, 2014, a 26-24 victory at home. Its last win in New Orleans came on Oct. 24, 2010, a 30-17 victory.
Cleveland is looking to rebound from a 27-6 beating in Pittsburgh last weekend, as the Browns slipped out of first place in the AFC North Division.
It was the most lopsided loss since a 34-10 setback in Jacksonville back in Week 1. Still, Cleveland is 5-2 against the spread (ATS) in the past 7 games, while the Under has cashed in 3 of the Browns' past 4 outings.
Browns QB Deshaun Watson took helmet-to-helmet contact in Pittsburgh last week. He left briefly, with QB Shedeur Sanders coming in for 2 completions on 2 attempts. Watson was cleared on Monday but experienced post-concussion symptoms Tuesday and has been in the protocol since. If he cannot go, Sanders would start.
New Orleans had a bye in Week 8 after a trip to Paris to meet the aforementioned Steelers. The Saints lost 16-10 as 2.5-point underdogs as the Under (43.5) cashed. New Orleans has dropped 4 of the past 5 games, while also going 1-4 ATS in the span. It is winless with an 0-3 ATS mark in 3 games at the Caesars Superdome this season, too.
The Saints tried to trade RB Kendre Miller but presumably could not find a partner. As such, the team waived him. So, RB Alvin Kamara figures to start, while RB Audric Estime, who played a game with the Browns against Baltimore and scored a touchdown, gets a shot as the primary backup.

Browns at Saints picks and predictions
Prediction
Saints 22, Browns 16
Moneyline
The Saints (-175) will cost you too much for a little bit of insurance. New Orleans is coming off a bye and has had 2 full weeks to get ready for the game. The Saints might also catch a break with the backup Sanders behind center. If Watson is inactive, go a little heavier on the Saints laying the points.
PASS.
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: Best prop bets
Against the spread
The SAINTS -3 (-118) are well-rested and ready to go after a bye. The Browns are in pretty good shape, too, but the injury to Watson is a concern.
Cleveland has lost 2 road games by 21 or more points this season, and it has performed much worse away from home than in front of the fans at Huntington Bank Field.
Over/Under
UNDER 42.5 (-110) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at most.
The Cleveland offense could be a little disjointed if Watson isn't in there, and it might be more of a ground-based attack, which favors the Under.
Best prop bet
SAINTS RB AUDRIC ESTIME OVER 26.5 RUSHING YARDS (-113).
Estime could be a real wild card. He was cut loose by the Browns when RB Dylan Sampson was activated from the reserve/injured list. He could be running with a little extra incentive.
