Alex White has tabbed a side for her BEST BET in NFL Week 2, involving the Sunday Night Football matchup between the Indianapolis Colts (0-1) and the host Kansas City Chiefs (1-0).
Kickoff from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City Missouri, is set for 8:20 p.m. ET and will be televised on NBC.
The Colts lost their opener 41-23 as 2.5-point underdogs at the Baltimore Ravens, who jumped out to a 28-6 lead in the first half and never looked back. Indy was outgained 506 yards to 251 as Baltimore RB Derrick Henry rushed for 144 yards with 3 touchdowns and QB Lamar Jackson threw for 324 yards with a TD. The Over (47.5) almost hit before halftime as the Ravens took at 31-13 lead into the break.
For Indy, QB Daniel Jones (19 for 31) threw for just 166 yards
with a TD and a pick, while RB Jonathan Taylor finished with 98 rushing yards and 2 TDs on 19 carries.
The Chiefs took care of business in their opener, easily covering as 2.5-point home favorites in a 31-10 victory over the AFC West rival Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football as the Under (42.5) cashed.
In his Chiefs debut after signing as a free agent following a Super Bowl title with the Seattle Seahawks, RB Kenneth Walker III ran for 173 yards with a score on 23 carries. QB Patrick Mahomes (15 for 27) threw for 184 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT, while adding 23 yards and a TD on the ground on 7 carries.
When Kansas City and Indianapolis last met (Week 12 last season), the Chiefs had to rally from an 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter and won 23-20 in overtime, however the Colts covered as 4.5-point road underdogs. Despite OT, the Under (49.5) came in for the fifth consecutive time in the series, dating back to October 2016. The Chiefs are 3-2 in the 5 games but 2-3 against the spread (ATS).
As of Saturday at 8:51 p.m. ET, BetMGM Sportsbook lists the host Chiefs as 6.5-point favorites (-105 juice); the Colts are +6.5 (-112).
