Former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold will meet with the New Orleans Saints after recently visiting the Seattle Seahawks,according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Arnold has also visited the Houston Texans, while Garafolo reports that other teams are attempting to vet both the player and the serious legal situation surrounding him.
Arnold faces eight felony charges stemming from a February incident in Florida, including kidnapping and armed robbery charges. Arnold and his representatives have denied the allegations and maintained his innocence as the legal process continues.
The Lions released Arnold in late June, shortly after an arrest was made and a judge set his bond at $1 million. He later cleared waivers, making him free to visit
and sign with any team.
Detroit selected Arnold with pick No. 24 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft following a standout career with the Alabama Crimson Tide. He started 22 of his 24 appearances across two seasons with the Lions, recording 91 tackles, 18 pass deflections, and one interception.
A potential move to New Orleans would reunite Arnold with Kool-Aid McKinstry, his former Alabama teammate and current standout in the Saints' secondary. The Saints already have McKinstry, Quincy Riley, and offseason addition Martin Emerson Jr. leading their cornerback room, which would allow for Arnold to get acclimated to a new system. At the same time, the legal process will continue to run its course.
