There weren't many changes for the New Orleans Saints injury report on Thursday, ahead of Sunday's regular season kickoff game with the Detroit Lions. And the Lions remained true to the estimation they released to start the week. But it's not just a carbon copy. Here's what we learned from the second practice report going into Sunday's matchup.
New Orleans Saints injury report
Running back Alvin Kamara (knee) practiced on a limited basis again, while defensive end Cameron Jordan (hamstring) was not present after being preemptively ruled out for Week 1, per head coach Kellen Moore. Two others were unable to practice due to injury -- running back Audric Estime (thigh) and tight end Oscar Delp (hamstring) -- while nose tackle Davon Godchaux (not injury related) was given his usual
midweek veteran rest day.
Detroit Lions injury report
Detroit reported that three players worked on a limited basis: defensive back Christian Izien (groin), edge rusher Derrick Moore (hamstring), and defensive lineman Mekhi Wingo (goin). Five others practiced fully while receiving treatment: cornerback Keith Abney II (hand), safety Thomas Harper (ankle), linebacker Trevor Nowaske (knee), cornerback Ennis Rakestraw (ankle), and linebacker Jimmy Rolder (hamstring).
