Week 2 of the NFL regular season started off as a bit of a slog fest between the Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans Saints, with both teams driving, but the score remaining relatively low. A Derrick Henry touchdown run for the Ravens was the only real, relatively-early opportunity for either side to score.
In the second quarter, the Ravens lined up for a 49-yard field goal with Tyler Loop, and, unlucky for them, 6-foot-5 defensive end Carl Granderson was opposite them. Granderson got a hand up to block the attempt, sending it wide of the uprights and giving New Orleans the ball back with some time remaining.

This block allowed the Saints to turn
around and run a 12-play, 56-yard drive to pick up a field goal of their own, bringing the score to 7-3, before Baltimore went on a drive and pushed their lead onwards to 14-3. Regardless, Granderson did well to make a heady play and keep the Saints in a hard-fought matchup that they desperately wished to win.
