The New Orleans Saints announced two practice squad moves on Friday, including the re-signing of cornerback Jayden Price. To make room for Price, the Saints have released rookie offensive tackle Alan Herron. An undrafted rookie from the Maryland Terrapins, Herron made the New Orleans practice squad out of training camp, but had not made a game appearance.
Price, 26, is a former UFL star who made the Saints practice squad in 2025 and active roster this season. He had appeared in each of the first five games, with no defensive snaps but 112 on special teams. Price returned one punt for 11 yards and 10 kickoffs for 228 yards. He lost a costly fumble to open the second half of the Week 5 loss against the Vikings and was released earlier this week.
Price returns to the 17-player New Orleans practice squad. The rest of the squad includes:
- WR Kevin Austin Jr.
- WR Cedric Tillman
- WR Jalen Moreno-Cropper
- WR Kyrese Rowan
- RB Zamir White
- RB Jarquez Hunter
- TE Stone Smartt
- OL Easton Kilty
- OL Alex Wollschlaeger
- DL Jay'Viar Suggs
- EDGE Fadil Diggs
- EDGE Jonah Williams
- EDGE David Ojabo
- LB Jackson Sirmon
- CB TJ Hall Jr.
- CB Jayden Price
- K Charlie Smyth (International Pathway Player exemption)
The 1-4 Saints are in the midst of a three-game losing streak, all at home. New Orleans will take on the 3-1-1 New York Giants on the road this Sunday.
