Week 8 has arrived, and for the New Orleans Saints, that means a chance to recuperate as they have their scheduled bye week. For many players, this will be an opportunity to work their way through any lingering injuries they may have, reset from a tough first half of the season, and focus on improving through training and practices.
For Kellen Moore, he will be taking the weekend off to travel to Boise, Idaho to see a statue of himself unveiled on Saturday. He will be making an appearance on the field as well, raising the Blue Chaos Flag at the stadium before kickoff and addressing the crowd at halftime during the unveiling, as was reported by Shaun Goodwin of the Idaho Statesman.
Moore had a a very impressive playing career for Boise State, and
the statue dedicated in his honor will be a great way to show him the respect he is due for that portion of his football life. He still owns the record for the most wins as a starting quarterback in college football.

That said, hopefully he will be able to get back to New Orleans quickly and work with the team a significant amount more during their time off to try and improve for the second half. We did see the Saints find their footing around the halfway mark in 2025 and compete in some close match-ups, it will be interesting to see if that is the case this year as well, or if the team is already heading too far in the wrong direction.
