Here's the final injury report for the New Orleans Saints' Week 2 road game with the Baltimore Ravens. And while they aren't out of the woods yet, it looks like the Saints are in a better place -- healthwise -- than the Ravens. New Orleans is getting some much-needed reinforcement at running back and defensive end with Alvin Kamara and Cameron Jordan both making their season debuts. We have to wait for final word on key players like wide receiver Chris Olave (hamstring) and edge rusher Chase Young (calf) after they were added to the injury report during the week, but the Saints do seem to have some optimism behind them. Here's who's in, who's out, and who has a chance to play at Baltimore.
Ruled out with injury
- Saints long snapper Zach Wood (calf) has been placed on injured reserve and will be sidelined for at least the next four weeks, possibly longer. The team signed free agent snapper Scott Daly to the practice squad as a temporary replacement.
- Three different Ravens players have been preemptively ruled out: cornerback T.J. Tampa (knee), linebacker Teddye Buchanan (knee), and defensive lineman Nnamdi Madubuike (neck).
Doubtful to play
- Linebacker Isaiah Stalbird (shoulder) is doubtful after not practicing this week, having injured his shoulder making a tackle last Sunday. The Saints' special teams units could be in trouble if he can't go. They're already missing Wood, so being without their snapper and one of their best coverage players would be big.
- Another Ravens player is also doubtful: wide receiver Zay Flowers (hamstring), their leading receiver. He didn't practice until Friday and even then only worked on a limited basis. We'll see how active he is during pregame warmups on Sunday morning.
Questionable
- Wide receiver Chris Olave (hamstring) was limited on both Thursday and Friday, and is officially listed as questionable, though reports are positive about his condition. Hopefully he can play without restrictions on Sunday.
- Edge rusher Chase Young (calf) is also questionable after being a limited participant at practice on Thursday and Friday. His status has also been characterized as more of an abundance of caution, but stay tuned.
- Rookie defensive lineman Christen Miller (toe) suffered an injury on Friday and was limited after practicing fully throughout the week. He's been one of the few bright spots in the interior rotation and would be a big loss if he can't play on Sunday.
- Baltimore listed four players as questionable: outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson (finger), left guard John Simpson (groin), and left tackle Ronnie Stanley (toe). All three are starters who didn't practice until Friday, and then only had limited appearances.
Available
- Tight end Juwan Johnson (illness) is good to go. He missed practice on Wednesday before ramping up with limited reps on Thursday and full participation to close out the week on Friday.
- Tight end Oscar Delp (hamstring) is also set to make his debut. He missed the season opener with this injury but was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before upgrading to full practice participation on Friday. We'll see what the plan is with a full house of tight ends between him, Johnson, Noah Fant and Treyton Welch, who the Saints signed to their 53-man roster last week.
- Edge rusher Cameron Jordan (hamstring) is making his 2026 season debut, too; the franchise sacks leader missed just the second game of his 16-year career due to injury one week ago. Hopefully he can add some juice to the Saints' pass rush. Jordan was limited on Wednesday and Thursday but practiced fully Friday.
- Running back Alvin Kamara (knee) practiced fully throughout the week and is eager to get back on the field. We'll see how his usage changes with Travis Etienne Jr. on top of the depth chart. We may have gotten a glimpse to what Kellen Moore is cooking up with practice squad RB CJ Donaldson moving all over the formation last week.
- Defensive lineman Davon Godchaux (not injury related) was given his usual day off on Thursday. The Saints practice third downs and obvious passing situations on Thursdays, so the veteran run stopper often sits out.
- On the Ravens side: defensive lineman Calais Campbell (not injury related), safety Keondre Jackson (shoulder), safety Jaylinn Hawkins (chest), and wide receiver Devontez Walker (groin) are all available after being listed on this week's injury report.
Injured reserve and PUP lists
As was the case last week, the following Saints players
are on injured reserve with season-ending injuries: defensive tackle Bryan Bresee, running back Ty Chandler, cornerback David Long Jr., tight end Moliki Matavao, offensive lineman Dillon Radunz, and cornerback Rejzohn Wright. However, a couple of others have been designated to return after sitting out at least four games: linebacker Jaylan Ford and rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson. Rookie safety Lorenzo Style Jr. is also eligible to return from IR after missing four games but the Saints have not designated him to do so just yet. Long snaper Zach Wood now joins them. Offensive lineman Nick Saldiveri is on the season-ending PUP list (physically unable to perform), while wide receiver Mason Tipton is eligible to return after missing four games.
