It's been a busy couple of weeks for the New Orleans Saints on the college scouting circuit. Members of the team's scouting department have been seen checking in on programs like the LSU Tigers and Texas A&M Aggies
, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Purdue Boilermakers, as well as St. Thomas up in Minnesota. On Saturday, they made another appearance at a Notre Dame game, this time against the North Carolina Tar Heels. The North State Journal's Shawn Krest spotted the Saints among ten teams with representatives in the press box.So who could they be scouting? Notre Dame cornerback Leonard Moore is the biggest name in this matchup, but he's a legitimate top-three prospect in the 2027 draft class. You'd hope the Saints aren't picking high enough to target
him, but we've seen them trade recklessly to go get their guy before. Notre Dame could produce multiple first-round picks with highly-rated prospects like safety Tae Johnson, quarterback CJ Carr, and linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa. Even if the Saints aren't focused on a single prospect, there's plenty of talent to keep tabs on.
